The occupation of the public space of the terraces of the bars are a typical focus of discussion. The City Council of Barcelona through the municipal company BIMSA, is studying various options, among which is a specific plan for the environment of the Sagrada Familia temple, where pedestrian traffic on the sidewalk is very intense.

It is about moving the terraces to the space occupied by the car park, to free the sidewalk. Some prototypes will serve as a test to assess the suitability of this solution. This pilot test has also been used to test different materials. Microarchitecture, specialist in this type of products, has collaborated in this pilot project dealing with the construction of two platforms with planter. The platforms are level and modular. One of them has been covered with slats of wood treated to the autoclave and another one of graphite gray technological wood.

Microarchitecture can offer these modular platforms with its customary philosophy of personalization, both in materials and measures or complements.
