The Austrian Federal Office for Environmental Protection is carrying out the "Urban Heat Islands" project. The summary brochure has just been published, the main topic of which is the microclimate of cities and what can be done to combat increasing warming in urban areas. For this, among several recommendations, it proposes the use of pergolas to provide public spaces with shaded areas that significantly improve comfort in terms of temperature.
