Within the framework of the urbanization of the central square of Eichholz, a residential district of Wesseling in Germany, two pergolas were projected in its central square u-system from our firm URBADIS | microarchitecture.

On the one hand, there is a large 20-metre long pergola with a HPL shade roof whose colours match those of the street furniture present. This structure provides shade for pedestrians while protecting them from other inclement weather such as snow. On the other hand, a pergola was specially designed for this project. u-system with glass cover and integrated LED lighting. In this case, the pergola covers the exposure of a Roman water conduit that is framed and protected by the structure in question.
