Munich City Council has started a project to revitalize some squares in the city by providing them with rest and shaded areas. In this case, Urbadis Microarquitectura has made a U System pergola that fits perfectly into the Schafreiterplatz space.

It is a pergola with a hot-dip galvanized metal frame and powder-coated in the color of the German railways; and with a suspended shading made with natural larch wood slats treated in oil.

The pergola has been designed in collaboration with the MNE Landschaftsarchitekten architecture studio with the aim of providing the square with a new welcoming space, but always seeking a subtle design integrated with the pleasant surroundings and respectful of its historical characteristics.
