Within the framework of the European Tonite project (UIA), the Comune di Torino has developed an interesting and innovative urban, ecological and architectural redevelopment intervention of Viale Mai, near the popular university center in the city center.
The intervention, characterized by a longitudinal development, required the insertion of a visual emergency at the head (or tail) that the City Council's designers decided to reduce by inserting a pergola. The solution was chosen through a public competition PER HEX, which thanks to its compositional versatility, its self-supporting version, the flexibility in the choice of finishes and the attractive design, responds in an elegant and functional way to the need to equip a shade and rest area.
