Within the framework of the renewal of Plaça de les Glòries Catalanes in BarcelonaNew recreational spaces have been planned for the public. This square is located at the confluence of the city's three main thoroughfares: Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, Avenida Meridiana, and Avenida Diagonal. This link between the Eixample and Sant Martí districts has become a new, high-quality space for the city's residents.

On the "Llobregat" side of the new square, that is, the southwest, we can find a Havana Cubic model kiosk bar that provides beverage sales services and has public toilets for public use. This kiosk has a pergola Habana an annex that provides shade to the area with tables and chairs where customers sit to enjoy a climate refuge in the middle of the city.

This kioskLocated so close to the Mercat dels Encants, the DHUB and the Agbar Tower, it is an ideal place to appreciate the contemporary architecture of the area, while also enjoying the new green spaces created in the square.

To guarantee the development and prosperity of a city, it is essential to create spaces that meet the needs of its inhabitants. The city of Barcelona, like other Spanish and even European cities, is experiencing a period of extreme summer temperatures. Therefore, the design and implementation of climate shelters like this one, which provide shade and amenities, is crucial to mitigating the effects of climate change and ensuring the well-being of its citizens.

At URBADIS | microarchitecture, we constantly work to create modular kiosks that adapt to the requirements of each project and space. We have over 30 years of experience in the design and manufacture of kiosk and pergola systems for public spaces.
